Individual therapy services are offered for children, adolescents, and adults. Therapy is useful for individuals experiencing current or ongoing anxiety, mood, depression, or adjustment concerns. Our therapists use a collaborative approach. Concerns treated include, but are not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, mood and bipolar disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, selective mutism, school refusal, ADHD, ADD, anger, and oppositional defiance disorder. Our therapists also have experience and expertise with gender identity disorder, LGBT specific concerns, and transitional support.

Toddler to Elementary School Aged:

We offer first time diagnosis, evaluation, and screening for possible developmental disorders, as well as emerging learning differences. We can assess for attention differences, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, behavioral, social, and mood difficulties. Parenting support and consultation is offered for specific behaviors, adjustment to diagnosis, and life changes.

Elementary and Middle School Ages:

Individual and play therapy services for children and pre-teen or “tween” aged children are offered. Individual social skills support, behavior management, emotional identification, and coping skills are important for this age. Ongoing parent support, family therapy, and consultation, as well as evaluation services are also offered for this age.

Teens and Young Adults:

Identity development, mood, anxiety, and transitioning to independence are important skills to develop in the teenage stage of life. Our therapists help with socialization and relationship development in your teenager, self-advocacy and expression, and the implementation of life long coping strategies that can help pave the way for a healthy and well-developed adulthood. Parent support and adjustment to diagnosis, family therapy, and support through life changes are also offered for this age.

Adulthood:

Many life changes occur in this stage of life. Adjustment to relationship changes, mood, work changes, anxiety, and the evolution of family dynamics are critical topics to address in individual therapy. Our therapists also can help resolve prior trauma, grief, and continued growth in terms of coping and self-care. Diagnosis, evaluation, and job specific skills are also supports offered in this stage of life.
As you can see, our therapists and service providers are committed to helping you adjust, cope, and thrive, no matter what stage of life you or a family member may be in.

How to schedule

To schedule individual or family therapy services, please contact us.  The psychologist or therapist will ask to schedule a Diagnostic Interview, which is a slightly longer session, to review symptoms and concerns, as well as collaborate with you on treatment planning and goals.  This is also a time for the therapist to review any previous therapy summaries or evaluations that have been conducted in the past.

Our office does not take insurance, but we do provide insurance receipts if you are eligible for reimbursement.  Please contact us for information on CPT codes and evaluation rates.
