In the midst of the current COVID-19 coronavirus crisis, we are pleased to continue to offer psychological support and therapy services to our community through telehealth / video sessions. These sessions allow for continuity of care, flexibility to attend session from home, and allows our licensed providers to see anyone across the state of Texas, regardless of location.

Telehealth is an increasingly popular method of receiving therapeutic services, with research that supports similar efficacy to in-person sessions. Teleheath video therapy can be used with all ages, and across most conditions. For those with mobility issues, transportation concerns, or who need flexibility in their scheduling, telehealth video sessions may be preferred to in person therapy sessions.

  • Prior to your scheduled session time, you will receive a unique link that will be emailed to you, which will allow you to access your video session.  This link should not be shared with anyone who is not authorized to be in your session.

  • Your session should take place in a quiet, private environment.  Your therapist will also be in a confidential environment.

  • If you are using a computer or a laptop with a camera and microphone, no additional equipment or software is needed.  You may wish to use your phone or tablet to attend your session, which will require an app to be downloaded.  You may also wish to use headphones or an external microphone, though this is not required.  Your therapist may be using a headset – this is to ensure sound quality, as well as confidentiality.

  • For child or play based therapy clients, your therapist may provide a list of materials for the session.  Your therapist may also send you hand outs or worksheets that can be worked on in session.  It will likely help to have a “kit” of supplies that will be used in session, including crayons, colored pencils, or markers, and paper.  Play dough might be used as well.
