Another exciting time of growth at Upside Therapy, Dr. Sarah Schwartz has joined the team! Dr. Schwartz is a provisionally licensed psychologist, supervised by Dr. Rachel Oppenheimer. Dr. Schwartz is passionate about helping teens and tweens through the developmental and social challenges that occur during this life stage.
Dr. Schwartz works with adolescents in individual or family therapy contexts, and she provides support for emotional, social, behavioral, or academic difficulties that may arise. Her work with teenagers helps support and foster good coping skills, develop a strong sense of identity, and support self-esteem. She is committed to developing a relationship and building trust with an adolescent, while also maintaining family and parent support. Conditions that Dr. Schwartz specializes in includes anxiety, depression, mood and coping difficulties, ADHD, academic difficulties, processing trauma, and identity confusion.
Dr. Schwartz recently completed her post-doctoral fellowship at The Child Guidance Center in Southern Connecticut. Prior to that, Dr. Schwartz received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University.
